The Gann lines and Gann Angles, developed by William Gann, are a mathematical and geometric method to establish a trading strategy for the forex, stock, and commodities markets. The fundamentals of using Gann lines and angles are as follows:
- Price, time, and range considerations.
- The cyclicality of the markets.
- Market price geometrical nature and behavior.
The Gann angles are an attempt to develop an indicator that can connect price to time. So Gann used trend lines to connect tops and bottoms and projected them into the future so that these lines and angles could be used to project where the price action of a currency pair would be after a certain amount of time.
